Functions of the Rotary Kiln Cooling Machine

In the actual production, the high-temperature materials produced by the rotary kiln must be cooled to certain degree by the cooling machine to be transported. After the materials are cooled by the cooling machine, the materials can be elevated to the warehouse storage by the bucket elevator. The cooling machine can also recovery large amount of heat carried by the high-temperature materials, which can preheat the combustion air into the kiln to 3000℃ to 5000℃ in order to strengthen the calcined and reduce the energy consumption.
The cooling machine can be divided into the single cylinder and multi-cylinder. The single-cylinder cooling machine is similar as the rotary kiln. The single-cylinder cooling machine has the simplified body, rolling ring, roller, supporting device, the ring gear transmission, nose and tail. There is feeding device and the material cover according to the need. The difference is that there is not liner in the simplified body. You can install the heat exchanger means and the material plate in order to facilitate the heat exchange of the passing airflow. The cylinder of the multi-cylinder cooling machine is the same as the single-cylinder cooling machine. Every barrel is fastened by the two supporting points and the barrel body of the kiln. For comprehensive consideration, the kiln end is easily to be worn by the materials. Therefore, it should be made of the high alumina bricks with good masonry strength. Impacted by the mechanical transmission and high temperature, the middle segment should be made of the magnesium aluminum brick or high alumina bricks. The head of the kiln should be made of the clay brick, which is cheap. The ideal kiln liner is generally composed with two layers of refractory. One layer uses the lightweight insulation material to laid on the inner wall of the tube, which can also be poured by the unshaped insulation material. For the other layer, the bricks and wear-resistant materials can be used as the liner to directly contact with the flame. This kind of double brick is economical and reasonable.
